Urgent General Contractor Estimator - Take Offs - Procurement

**Position Overview:** We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator with expertise in all trades and a strong understanding of the scope of work associated with general contracting, including MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems, structural steel, and miscellaneous metal. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of producing accurate estimates, managing project budgets, and fostering positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. **Responsibilities:** - Conduct detailed take-offs and material quantity calculations for all aspects of construction projects, including but not limited to structural steel, miscellaneous metal, MEP systems, and other trades as required. - Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to accurately assess project requirements and identify potential cost-saving opportunities. - Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive cost estimates and proposals that meet project objectives and client expectations. - Prepare and present estimates, bid proposals, and value engineering options to clients and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner. - Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids, negotiate pricing and terms, and make recommendations for selection based on project requirements and budget constraints. - Monitor project budgets and provide ongoing cost analysis and forecasting throughout the duration of projects. - Stay current with industry trends, materials pricing, and construction methodologies to ensure competitiveness and efficiency in estimating practices.
