We have a dedicated server with windows plesk hosting for a MS SQL dbf that has 44M records. We currently have 16gigs RAM. Way too slow. 250 files each having about 55K recs were used to import to1 dbf. Realized today that some of those files had the fields shifted so some data is in the wrong fields on the dbf. Our data guy is currently working to fix this. We need someone to oversee this project on a daily basis to ensure it is fixed in a timely fashion and then indexed correctly and perhaps split data between multiple dbfs to make search quicker (currently timing out).

Also, we have never been prompted for a password to bring up the database until all these errors started occurring. We do not know what password it is requesting.

I have a Microsoft Access database on a single PC that is used for generating an inventory reorder report, based on data from the POS software database. The Access database is in .accdb format and pulls the info it needs from .dbf files located on a shared network folder on the POS that hosts the POS software database.
