I am a British ex-pat living in France, so English is my native tongue. My most recent experience has included the transcription of several hours of audio interviews and narratives from documentary film. Due to the nature of the interviews being from all over the world I have excellent comprehension of spoken English, but I am also experienced in non-native English accents. This work was done for a Media Consultant, who I have assisted regularly in recent months. It is for this reason that I would be an excellent candidate for the job. I would propose to complete this work either as a PDF or Word doc depending on your preferences. When writing the transcription I would also be able to offer time coding, allowing easy reference to the audio version from the text. Once the transcription work is completed, I review the text against the audio and check it for accuracy. An hour of audio would normally take around 4 hours. This enables me to transcribe carefully, but also to check the work afterwards. Confidentiality is also very important to me.
