Automatic create folder and sub folder against category table: This table is in foxpro. Please look at the attach file to understand the tree structure. This three field make the tree structure: CATEGORY is category code, DESC is category description, PARENTCAT is the parent category. First level have " " PARENTCAT, by point to the PARENTCAT you will know what level you are in the tree. Other fields are not important. Using the date in this table to re-create the same window directory structure as the one in the table and name the folder using the CATEGORY-DESC category code-category discription. With window folders created. I have a picture folder of .jpg and .gif files. I need to place jpg and gif files against the folder. The name of the (.jpg and .gif)'s prefix is the same as the CATEGORY(category code). By matching the category code to to the profix of the .jpg files. Use a command to start the placement process, I need a audit trial of what get placed by user and date/time. If the same file name and extention exist. don't replace. Put the entry in the log file. Each time I run the foxpro file againt this tree directory. If new category is added, add new folder to tree. If category is moved, move the folder to new location. If folder in the directory is no in the foxpro file. move the directory to a DISCONTINUE FOLDER. If new category is in the foxpro file, go to the DISCONTINUE FOLDER to check if already exist, if yes move back to the tree structure. I need to automate this process. I use this folder system to manage my picture collection.
