Customise/Adding Functionality to VB6 Software

We are an online bookshop selling both used and new books, based in the UK. We have a piece of software called 'MML' built using VB6 that acquires information about a particular book by entering the ISBN (barcode) of the book to the software from Amazon API (AWS). This information includes title, author etc and is written to a text file. We would like the software to also download and resize the product image and as above, write the location of the resized image to file as with the title, author etc. We also require the software to now add the product information to a local database when it is downloaded from the API. The next time the product is entered to the software, it looks first to the local database for the information. If the product is not in the local database, it looks to internet (Amazon API) for the product information and writes the info to file as well as adding to the local database. We would also like to add some user features which will monitor user performance of the software. The software is used by data entry employees, so we would like performance indicators to appear each hour as to how fast they are entering items to the software. i.e. a pop up message every hour "Your Current Scan Rate is: 240, Keep Up the Good Work" or "Your Current Scan Rate is: 50, You Need to Be Quicker" (where scan rate is the number of items entered into the software each hour) We would be interested in developers that have worked with Amazon API before and experienced with VB6 whom are also reliable and look to get work done in a timely and professional manner.
