I have been having a tool developed and the programmer is constantly changing what he delivers, and always asking for more money, original project was for $300 - and the brief was for a tool that opened Photoshop PSD files, and then allowed the user to turn off layers (such as text / or sub layers) so they could take a PSD web template design, and then place markers on the image which would be for slicing, the software is to work with an existing tool we make to build site styles, and should allow the user to do all the work on the existing image and then slice /// user should be able to have multiple areas selected that will be sliced, and he should be able to select what output, ie JPG for some areas and GIF for others, he should be able to resize anything he has set on the image (by way of markers) - he will be looking to slice at a minimum, buttons, banner / logo, bullets, any graphic basically needed to recreate this in a WYSIWYG editor, we are thinking of Frontpage, NetObjects which both use Style/Theme, so we need to select all elements.
We have a tool working now for building the style with the images, and will probably hook the two tools together, making this a visual builder. We can give you source up to date. At present we can open a PSD and slice an area, we lack a couple of things like layer being able to be turned off, this should work like in Paintshop Pro or Photoshop where user selects which ones on or off, because for example the PSD logo will say XYZ company but user will want to turn this off so gets a blank banner graphic.
If you can really do this (in Vbasic) then let me know.
