the client is asking for yet another modification.
The [login to view URL] contains things like
9896-032-0276x,4598-009-71591,4598-010-00121
9896-032-0281x,4598-009-71651,4598-010-00121
9896-032-0282x,4598-009-71651,4598-010-00121
...
The first column is the REF number. I thought 'x' was a normal part of the number, but it turns out that the client meant 'x' to be a variable. So, 9896-032-0276x is essentially meant to be equivalent to a regular expression 9896-032-0276[0-9]. The good thing is that the client does not foresee a situation where they'd ever put a full 12-digit REF into the relations.csv. This means, we can simply match on the first 11 digits only.
I will provide you with a [login to view URL] where I remove the final 'x', thus containing only 11-digit REF numbers.
scope:
a. modifying the app to allow the user to add a 12-digit number (as it is now)
b. chop off the last digit of the REF
c. match this 11-digit number against the [login to view URL]
(b) would be the only real code modification.
