I want to create a simple proxy server. The script will be hosted on a cloud server. The users of my proxy will need to be authenticated via their IP or using a username and password. I would like this to be written in python, but this is not essential. I need to be taught how to edit the authentication credentials. I want somebody who is happy to explain what they are doing in detail. I want to learn from this experience. You may need to explain every line of your code. Hello, Please read carefully about what i'd like to offer. (right, i'm not a bot ;)). What would You say about using pure nginx (or combination of nginx + varnish) to accomplish your project? I'd like to know a bit more about this project so i could take a look again at your problem with more details in mind, but i think we can setup pretty good proxy on already battle hardened and tested, really good piece of software. So, first we can do a little research to see what can we use as a base for our server and then to customize it and develop it according to our needs.
