I need someone (an individual or company) to setup icecast audio streaming on my ubuntu server.
I will be streaming multiple static MP3 files from the same server to different mountpoints on icecast.
Icecast will need a source client to read the files and stream them to icecast; I am open to suggestions as to which source client would be best for this purpose.
Both icecast and the source client will need to be configured to work in the following way:
1) Icecast will need to automatically start when the server is started.
2) The source client will need to be able to provide multiple streams to icecast (different mountpoints)
3) I will need to be able to add more streams to the source client/icecast without re-booting the server, once added these new streams will also need to automatically start when the server starts. (perhaps a script that can be edited as new streams are added?)
Why do I need it to work this way?
I will be launching a streamed audio service where I will be required to add streams to the icecast server at any given time. In the event of a server failure or a re-boot I will need ALL current streams to automatically start again. ( I do not want to have to MANUALY re-start any streams that were running before the server re-booted for obvious administrative reasons)
I have racked my brain for a simple solution to this project but I am yet to find one so I am turning to YOU, the professionals.
I am very open to any suggestions or recommendations you may have with regards to a source client and the configuration of the whole server
Icecast is currently installed on the server but I would like to uninstall it and start again as the current installation has problems. Please treat this as a fresh installation and configuration
Please only bid on this project if you have FULLY understood the requirements and have had extensive experience with Linux and icecast.
Thanks.
Hello there,
I did configure an icecast server for a radio station here in Romania (radiodeea) in the past.
I believe I can also adapt the setup to fit your needs.
There should be no difficult issues at hand.
