The project is mainly about the issue caused on the pipelines in everyday life in the industry. The mastermind technology used for the betterment of this project implementation would be ANSYS. This software is a PC-based programming. The main aim of the project is to simulate distribution over a coating defect using mandrel bending test which would undergo various different kinds of defects. I am providing previous years references of brendon and thomas for your sample. What I expect you to answer: 1. If there is a defect in a coating, how would it affect the strain distribution and coating cracking? 2. How big this defect needs to be to make a big impact on the strain distribution and coating cracking behaviour? To do: 1. Repeat the simulation Tom and Brenda did to start with (learn the simulation and software ANSYS); 2. Assume there is one defect on the coating, then what difference it will make to the simulation? The report has to be around 1000 words.
