Responsibilities: Edit and proofread manuscripts ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 words for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and consistency. Provide constructive feedback to authors aimed at enhancing the overall quality and impact of their work. Ensure manuscripts adhere to our publishing standards and guidelines. Collaborate effectively with authors and fellow editors to achieve the best possible results. Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality edited manuscripts. Requirements: Native English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven experience in editing books, preferably in various genres. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Familiarity with different style guides (e.g., Chicago Manual of Style, AP Style). Ability to provide insightful and constructive feedback to authors. Reliable and able to meet deadlines consistently. Payment: $150- $200 USD per edited book (up to 100k words), commensurate with experience and quality of work. Opportunity for increased compensation for outstanding performance. Exceptional editors will be offered the opportunity to edit one book per week.
