Scrape counter from site

I want to develop your web scraper for the counter in Ruby Programming Language. This is quite easy to understand and just 5 lines of code. I did a lot of web scraping jobs already, e.g. new article collector, google results analyzer, taxes collector etc... Hi. Yeah, the project sounds pretty easy but I think that we can consider nodejs which is a better tool for parsing data from websites. I have no problem with Curl/PHP if It's comfortable for you.
