I need a webapp that manages my IT inventory, in particular the company mobile phones associated with employees.
I'm currently using an excel file with around 23 columns
Most contain static data: make, model, imei, etc.
Some data may vary, for example location, user name, notes.
I'm happy with the excel file because I can filter by location and see all the mobile phones in that location, or for any other field.
Besides putting this excel file online as a web page, I would need 2 important things:
I wish there were more login profiles: admin, operator, user
Admin can edit any information
The operator can modify some fields
The user can edit a limited number of fields
Example: the operator of office X will have to be able to view ONLY the mobile phones of his office, the operator of office Y will be able to view ONLY the mobile phones belonging to office Y
The operator will be able to modify ONLY some fields that I will enable as modifiable, for example the operator name and the notes, he will not be able to modify the rest of the information.
If possible, I'd like the nextcloud login to be used (there are APIs); this solution would be preferable but not binding.
Secondly, I would like to keep a history of the changes relating to the headquarters, user and maintenance fields.
I would like the tool to allow me to independently create columns and assign privileges.
Considering that I manage maintenance, so every time they break, I change the location, I repair them, then they could go to a different location, so I would always like to have visibility, as admin, of the history or this mobile phone how many repairs it has had, in which locations it has been before, and which users it has had.
This is because if the same user breaks 10 mobile phones, perhaps it is a problem of use, or if the same mobile phone is repaired 10 times, perhaps then it has problems and should be thrown away.
I think the realization of the project is easier than the explanation, consider that today I'm doing everything with a simple excel file.
