Change Basic PHP site with SQL queries to support PHP 7.0 and 7.1

Attached is a current web site that was developed by a previous Freelancer job many years ago that supported PHP 5.0 but it does not work with PHP 7.0. I would like the site compatible with PHP 7.0 and 7.1. I belive the functions mysql_connect and mysql_select_db need to be changed to mysqli_connect and mysqli_select_db. The site searches a MySQL database for name and phone number. Referencing the SQLD database seems to be the problem based on old PHP SQL commands. Another problem I would like address is that the web site needs to be configured to work from a particular URL. I would rather it not require this configuration. [login to view URL] ; The path of the very root of this website, as it should appear to the client. ; IE: [login to view URL] or http://localhost/ client = "[login to view URL]" This is not very friendly when the web site is accessible from multiple fully qualified domain names.
