Responsive Website Design and Custom CMS

We are an Architecture and Urban Design practice located in Sydney, Australia. Our current website is hosted with Cargo ([login to view URL]), a hosted CMS service for portfolio based websites. While we are very happy with many aspects of our current setup particularly its ease of use and its image management capability we are looking to develop a new, custom CMS website design. The main objectives of the re-design is to develop a more tailored project based CMS, update the look and feel of the website and improve access from a variety of mobile media such as smartphones and tablet devices. In terms of multi-platform functionality we are specifically interested in implementing a 'Responsive Website Design' solution where the website and its content scales intelligently relative to screen sizes to maintain legibility. The interface is to be simple and intuitive enough that any admin user will be able to upload content without any knowledge of html or website design. The graphic layout, site structure and interface has been designed and documented and is included in the briefing package. Content scaling has been considered and tested at 3 scales: web browser, ipad and iphone. These tests are included in the package and should be referred to in order to give an indication of intended scaling relationships. Please note that it will be important to maintain a capacity for minor alterations and additions to the site and its CMS. As such quality and clarity of code is important. screenshots of our current 'Cargo' CMS as well as precedent websites that we have been referring to during the design process are also included in the package.
