We are looking for designers to: * Create HTML/CSS mockups for new applications and new application features * Create photoshop mockups of new concepts * Improve user interfaces by working in application development teams This is a telecommuting position for a talented individual contractor from anywhere in the world. Assembla will offer one-week paid trials to qualifying candidates. The successful candidates will be offered a long-term position, part-time or full-time. You should show examples that which use CSS positioning, and not table positioning. We want to see that you can work with CSS and javascript elements. * an hourly pay rate * The number of hours per week that you can work and a date you can start. ## Deliverables DESIGNER REQUIREMENTS * Trained user interface designer who understands typography, spacing, and methods of focusing user attention particular actions. * Experience building click-through application mockups with HTML and CSS * Can make buttons, icons, and other images * Can build with CSS and Flow layouts, instead of tables * Broadband internet access * Experience working with distributed teams and source code management systems The ideal candidate will also be able to: * Use javascript libraries and program with javascript * Set up development environments for Ruby on Rails and other Web development frameworks, and directly edit application templates.
