PHP Web Application Developer

COMPANY: BookingCenter provides the hospitality industry with Property Management (PMS) and Central Reservation (CRS) software. Our desktop and web-based products connect to many interfaces, Global Distribution Systems (GDS), and popular travel sites (Expedia, [login to view URL], etc). We do this for over 2,000 customers in 40 countries. BookingCenter is an international team, with small offices in Australia, India, Canada, California and headquartered in Stateline, Nevada. Our company is growing and we are looking for a member to join our team who can work effectively from a home office in a virtual working environment. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Design, implement, and test software features for BookingCenter systems utilizing our extensive suite of development tools and a combination of PHP, Oracle and JavaScript. - Work with senior developers and managers to formalize the requirements for new software development projects. TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED: The technical skills required are listed below. However, we are willing to train a successful candidate to enhance their expertise in specific areas. - Experience developing software for a web based platform using industry-standard software development processes. - PHP, JavaScript and SQL (Oracle preferred) experience are essential. - Yahoo javascript libraries and jquery/ajax/json are used frequently. - Well-developed communication skills. - A strong commitment to quality. - The ability to work in a team or as an individual from your home office. - Experience with PL/SQL, Java, SOAP and XML web services will be highly regarded.
