Chinese Dictionary/Reader

I'm looking to create a simple text reader that will look up chinese characters on click/tap. This is to eventually be used on mobile and desktop platforms so light and fast is a requirement. The dictionary engine will be the open source CEDICT. (<[login to view URL]>) The? definitions? are to appear in a dedicated space at the bottom of the page (not in a pop-up form). Especially important is the ability to recognize compounds of characters (two or more characters that form a word). ## Deliverables This is to be done with web-based technologies (java script, html 5, ruby, etc) with the intention of using it on multiple platforms (mobile and desktop). Demonstration with a web browser is ideal. I would like to see what back-end processing you can come up with. that allows the user to input/upload the text easily and quickly. ## Platform Web Based Code
