Java Learning

Note....I will be doing a lot of these...so if you are interested in doing more let me know. I need to learn Java as fast as I can. Unfortunately I don't have time. So, What I need is projects started and VERY WELL COMMENTED that I can finish. I am on a AIX/Unix box running java version "1.3.1" I need to be told what commands for compile and execution. I want to be able to list out two columns from joined table with customer input. ie ask what is the value for column info_from_a. ... then do... select this, that from tab_a a, tab_b b where [login to view URL] = [login to view URL] and info_from_a='customer_input'; Then I want to be able to do this... select * from tab_a; I want the output to be nice. - please comment VERY well. My goal (#1)... I want to be able to change them so, I can ask for more than one input and display more than two items, more than two tables.... etc... Note: I will be doing this...as long as you commented your code well this should not be hard for me to do... My goal (#2)... Tell me how much this would cost... someday I would like to be able to see a graphical representation of all the tables then as I select on them - i see the columns in each one and be able to join tables and do where clauses all graphically with user input... (NOTE - this is not part of the bid...just give me an idea how much this would cost for future reference)... NOTE: Install package not needed...but you will need to have instructions on what needs to happen - how to compile - how to execute....etc... Note, since this is just learning stuff...I am looking for a low bid - but remember you must comment completely so that I can learn.
