1. Moving website from Shared Linux My SQL hosting plan to a VPS Server 2. Setting up and ensuring the required hosting environment at the new VPS Server for ensuring that the website works at the new hosting service Reason for shifting: We are currently on a Shared Hosting Plan that is being upgraded to PHP 5.4 shortly. The StockBox application that we use is not supported on PHP 5.4 yet and therefore we need to shift the website to a new server. The task involves: 1. Setting up the correct software on the VPS server as follows: Server Requirements: [login to view URL] Knowledge base: [login to view URL] How to move site to new hosting provider: [login to view URL] PHP 5.3x * Zend Guard Loader MySQL 4.0.26 or later Apache 1.3 or later ** or IIS ImageMagick® *** FFmpeg **** 2. Downloading the website from the existing live location and uploading it to the new server. (We can do this exercise if bandwidth is an issue for you) 3. Downloading the My SQL DB and uploading it to the new server 4. Changing the DB config file at the new location as required 5. Setting the permissions as stipulated at the new hosting location After this we will change the A record to the new servers dedicated IP and check the site is working fine or not.
