I’ve read your project description and can see that you need customer database for my business with search capabilities including the three tables you have been described in the attached Excel file.. I'm senior lecturer on databases and I have more 10 years experience in different DBMS. I can create your database in MySQL and if you need I can create some application for search and insert/update/delete data . Also I can create the same database in Microsoft Access, but this decision will be availiable for a one user (only for you) and will be problem for scalible to many users.

Hi, here is my proposal regarding data structure: 1) Customer Table (personal data, customer id, branch id) 2) Branch Table (Branch name, branch id, dates) 3) Payment Type (EVC, Cash) separate to be able to expand in the future 4) Workorder (customer id, no need to duplicate name, address, etc, ) 5) KW-readings (previous, latest, customer id) 5) Payment (status = due/paid, dates, amounts, KW reading ID etc) Then a few reports to show you the totals on the dashboard - total customers, total KW per branch, per customer, etc, total amounts and the dashboard itself allowing you to search for customers/ orders and see the reports We would also have to discuss how the new data would be fed into the system - import process (appending new data is preferred) Let me know if you would like me to work on this project Best regards Morris

Hi, From your description you need a database with two primary maintaince screens 1) for customer details and 2) for branch details. With those in place the next step will be the option to record meter readings and payments thus updating the customers account with latest billing info. You didn't mention if the rate is fixed or if there are several different rates to select from. Once the users can maintain the customers and branch details and record meter readings and payments then the rest is simply reporting, which is something we can work out in detail later on. I would suggest an access database as this will allow you to easily add features in the future. This tends to be more important at the start of any software development as with use minor issues such as users perferring other options come to light. Technically I have 15+ years developing VB and database applications and I have developed numerous access applications for various requirements. So I believe I should be able to provide the application you require.
