Read Metastock Data Files with MVC

I would like a class module that reads MetaStock data without using a third party API. You can look at <[login to view URL]> for info on how other API's read the data. The API from the link above is COM based I do not want to use COM based dlls. At this stage I only need it to read data but I may add the ability to write data at a later stage. The class/dll will need to do the following functions: Master File Functions 1. Open the directory that holds Metastock files 2. Close the directory when I finish reading the data 3. Read all data files from the master file so I can loop through them 4. Return true/false if a symbol exists Security File Functions 1. Open 2. Close 3. Open by File name 4. Open by Symbol 5. Read Day The security File will need to return the following data for each bar returned. Date Open High Low Close OpenInterest And return the following as totals qty Records qty Records left
