I first code a function for Newton-Raphson iteration and test it. Then code a function to calculate the LHS of the equations you provide and test it. The key point in Newton-Raphson method is to obtain the Jacobian matrix, i.e. the derivative of equation to be solve f(x) with respect to the unknowns x1. A system of two equations with two unknowns can take the following form: f1(x1,x2) = 0, f2(x1,x2) = 0.
