Image Processing of satellite images

Hi, I have done a project like this before. I extracted supraglacial lakes from worldview 2 satellite imagery of Antarctica. I applied machine learning classifiers and also found out the areas. We can discuss more. Do you have images that are black and white or you have the coloured pictures as well, as the coloured pictures would be better for classification depending on the spectrum values of the pixels.

I haver experience working as consultant for FAO in the REDD+ proyeject for several countries (Ecuador, Venezuela, Paraguay, Colombia.), to monitoring land changes using optical and SAR imagery. I can perform this task working in unix by using my own scripts which lead me to process large amount of images in an automatic way (Here I use gdal, Open Foris Goespatial toolkint an several other tools programmed in c++, csh, and python), other way is by using Google Earth Engine, in which I have developed a scritp in Javascript, or I can work in windows using matlab or IDL (envi). My experience involve detection of changes for deforentation, floods, and Land use Dynamics.
