I’m looking to hire an experienced freelancer to help me retrieve medical records from 3 Jacksonville, FL doctors offices for my VA disability case I just started. I left the military in 1989 and need to show that I did not have any mental and physical issues prior to my entry into the military, and also show all records forward to future that show afterwards I did have issues that developed and have worsened to complete disability. I may have the bulk of them as I primarily used Baptist Medical Health System in Jacksonville, but it is a dump of over a thousand pages. I also have a similar dump of pages from Mayo Clinic here. I don't know how to go about sorting that to even know what I have.
Beyond getting all the records organized into something usable, I have a further project, which may or may not the same person, can help with or help find someone that can take all those records and do a medical case history and summary. I am not sure if that needs to be a doctor or if there are others qualified to do that.
I say that because if you are qualified and able to get the few that are left, I havent even tried the 2 or 3 individuals on the list I attached yet, thats a job.
If you can take ALL the records, all the records once they are collected, and understand what you are looking at, know what is missing and what is just getting in the way and shouldnt be included and organize it into something myself, doctors, the VA claims people can use to see what is going on, thats another job.
I think I will also need a physican, but correct me if I am wrong, to take that organized conglomeration of records and write a case history from it/summary. So thats another job I think.
This is a high-stakes project for my family, I have gone from a good job to being completely disabled, so the person must be precise and take great care to ensure accuracy. Their ability to comprehend and analyze complex documentation related to medical records in order to organize and classify them into something useful for myself, my doctors, and anyone else looking at the claim I create from it.
If you have military and or VA claim, medical, legal or related skills as well that is a definite plus.
If you are reading this and find I need to say more or should look for certain skills or a place or occupation that deals with issues like this, please let me know. But I do know about VA attorneys, profit and not for profit organizations that help vets. The ones that can do it are legally barred from collecting any fees whatsoever for a vetaran filing their inital claim. Once it reaches appeal stage, then they can step in and collect a pre set by the VA capped fee, if they are successful. And the not for profit, state, and private groups that help veterans do a lot, but they dont collect your medical records outside of the military, nor did mine do anything more than spend about 5 minutes lisitng what my medical issues were and what doctors/hospitals might have records the VA would want, and the VA is supposed to do the rest. Yeah, right.
Sorry I went on and on, I have no brevity control when I write stuff up. Luckily I still type over 100wpm, thats way faster than I can think!
