I have over 15 years of computer programming experience, including the following languages: Visual Basic, JavaScript, VBScript, 6809 Assembly Language, and COBOL. I've also studied some Java, C++, C#, SQL, Unix shell scripting, Python, ASP, ASP.NET, Razor, HTML, CSS, XML, VB.NET, Perl, PHP, jQuery, Ruby, and PC Assembly Language. I've written many types of programs, including human language translation software, video games, and simple drivers, having studied programming both at Sierra College, California, for several semesters, and also on my own. I created video games professionally for three years, writing both the software and the instructions, and thoroughly testing them, for which I was paid royalties. I also wrote instructions for the training of library employees.
I have a photographic memory, learn quickly, and speak several languages, including fluent Spanish.
I’ve lived in San Diego for four years. I was a Library Technician for 13 years in Los Angeles, where I occasionally used my programming knowledge to improve efficiency. I have an Associate in Science Degree in Library Technology, an Associate in Arts Degree in Language and Literature, and a Certificate in Library Technology, all from Sacramento City College. I got straight A's in my library classes in case you'd like to see my transcripts. My GPA at Sacramento City College was 3.897. I also studied computer programming for two years at Sierra College, in Rocklin, California.
I have several years of experience editing college library website HTML. I've used MS Word and Excel for reports and statistics for years. I've used Outlook, and have studied PowerPoint and Access. I have several years of experience using Sirsi Unicorn to edit database records.
