Timetable generator

We need a timetable generator for schools and colleges. You can assume a list of classrooms, teachers, subjects and class groups as your input. The teachers will be related to multiple subjects and the class groups will be related to multiple subjects. The class duration can be of 1 hour or more but the total number of hours in a week will be fixed for that particular subject. The first interface will be highly detailed. It will have options like: Mr.X will teach Subject1, Subject2 and Subject3 Mr.X can teach ClassGroup1, ClassGroup2, ClassGroup3 etc. ClassGroup1 will study Subject1, Subject2, etc. ClassGroup3 will study in ClassRoom1. Mr.X will take the first period for ClassGroup1 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Or tertiary parameters shall be available like: Mr.X will teach Subject1 to ClassGroup3 ClassGroup2 will study Subject1 in ClassRoom5 Some other details will be: School starts at 9:00 and ends at 6:00 The break is from 2:00 to 4:00 Mr.X will be available from 3:00 to 6:00 Subject1 will have 5 hours of classes in a week. Subject2 cannot have more than 1 class in a day And so on. The final output will be a timetable without any conflicts. A teacher might not be teaching 2 classes at the same time or a ClassGroup may not be studying more than 1 subjects at the same time. The output shall also indicate the incorrect input. The application may be designed as a website, a command line tool, a desktop application on any platform Java,.NET, php etc. Though, we will prefer a jar file as the final deliverable. You will be selected on the basis of your similar work and how you understand the problem. There might be a number of situations that I would be missing. Please state the problem clearly if you want to get selected. The payment will be around $100-$300. There will be a single milestone paid after the completion and testing of your project.
