The Fishbowl Bar and Skate Space

I need a few logos for a new bar/venue concept that will feature a particularly gnarly concrete skate bowl inside the bar. The vibe is a combination of fancy trash (high quality beverage without pretentious atmosphere), DIY skate rat culture, and a tinge of tiki. The font and accompanying cartoony logos need to avoid all the “millennial hip” design tropes that plague almost every bar in mid-sized cities trying to catch up to NYC and LA. The Fishbowl does not intend to fit into any one category. It’s an amalgam of the things the founders love most (skateboarding, extreme music, old world beer, science driven draft cocktails, and veganism). Selling merch will be a large part of the biz, as people will want to rep the coolest bar ever created (it will be!). I’m looking for somebody who has worked in skateboarding and metal/punk design before. Somebody who I don’t need to translate every other word I use when talking about the foundational elements of DIY skateboarding and aggressive underground music. We are putting together a pitch deck now and need imagery consistent with our vibe and principals. For inspiration, we love the merch by Confusion magazine (an underground skateboarding magazine with a focus on skater-built spots and concrete skateparks all over the world and spotlights hardcore/punk musicians and talented yet often unknown artists connected to those local scenes globally). I had a logo made for another name for the same concept, which I’ve since realized is a bit cringe. I’ve attached that one below.
