Hello,
I am looking for assistance in resolving an issue with my GitHub Actions workflow for deploying my project to SiteGround servers. I am unable to provide sensitive data, but I am looking for guidance and advice on how to fix the problem I am facing.
I have two branches in my GitHub repository: dev and main. The dev branch should deploy to a development server, and the main branch should deploy to a production server. Both servers are hosted on SiteGround.
I have been using SSH and rsync in my GitHub Actions workflow to deploy my project to the respective servers. I have encountered issues with SSH authentication using private and public keys. Despite generating the appropriate keys and updating the GitHub Secrets accordingly, I still receive "Permission denied (publickey)" errors.
The private key is stored in a GitHub Secret, and the public key has been added to the authorized_keys file on the SiteGround servers. The workflow file has been set up to use the correct secrets for the respective environments.
Could you please provide guidance or suggestions on how to resolve the SSH authentication issues I am encountering? I would greatly appreciate your expertise on this matter.
Please note that I am not providing sensitive information, and I am only looking for advice on how to resolve the issue.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Aldo
