enhance and fix DBGrid speed of a program written in Delphi

Good day i think issue not in grid but in dataset refresh after update. or maybe you reread all data to grid - DevEx stores data as variant - there are two solution - use directmode - or write to DevEx variant.

Hello, I am a veteran (25+ years) Delphi developer having worked on Delphi since the late 1990s (Delphi v1.0). Since then, I have continuously been working on various versions of Delphi (specifically, 3.x, 5.x, 7.x, 10.x, Berlin and Rio). Have used several third-party components including DevEx controls, Infopower, Raize, TMS etc. I am fairly confident of speeding this up - however, I will need your Delphi version, your underlying datasource/dataset. I would analyze the code and dependencies first to understand the real bottleneck. May not be necessarily DevEx DBGrid related (DB indexes, joins etc as well as the calculated fields or some other CPU/RAM/HDD hungry stuff). What version of Delphi is used and what database platform, how many tables etc?
