I need someone who is experienced in the field of musical analysis who can take an incoming signal from a microphone and LINE jack, run it through a DSP chip and be able to give me the "sounding pitch;" not to be confused with finding the fundamental frequency. The analysis has to be able to detect pitch in specific octaves from a range of about 0-4500Hz, must be able to take care of this task at least 15 times a second, and be accurate within a half step. I need this to be able to communicate with an arduino.

My major was speech recognition, I am very familiar with pich detection and some algorithm for example HMM(hidden markov), I can do this for you definitely! I am very proficient in c, c++. I have 15 years c++ developing experience now, and I have worked for 5 years. My work is online game developing, and mainly focus on server side, the language is c++ under linux. I used c++ to make many great projects, for example, I made the tools which can convert java files to c++ scripts which has the same effect, of course garbage collection included. I also made our own mobile game using c++, I even can show you the demo of client. Trust me, please let expert help you.

Did you think about this? Taking a step back... To get this working you MUST figure out a way to plot intermediate steps of this process. What you're trying to do is not particularly hard, but it is error prone and fiddly. Clipping, windowing, bad wiring, aliasing, DC offsets, reading the wrong channels, the weird FFT frequency axis, impedance mismatches, frame size errors... who knows. But if you can plot the raw data, and then plot the FFT, all will become clear. Well don't worry about it. We know what to do. Expert Engineers here. Buzz us when you are online. Well, this doesn't look too complicated providing we get the requirements straight and there's not too much noise as well. I assume a few test samples will be available for testing and fine tuning... Kind regards, x3x7

I am a final year student from BITS Pilani University India. I have already done courses on Digital Signal Processing where I implemented an Audio Effect Generator using TMS320C5535 eZdsp kit. I also have prior experience in Arduino Programming. This project would be interesting and I would surely give my best to get it done on time. I already have the DSP kit ready with me and I can start working on it as soon as the project is rewarded.
