Access Database For Running Scoring

I have partially constructed a access database for simple scoring of run events. I have two tables outside the database linked. One is the participant list, which once the race starts is static. Second excel sheet I call place and bib. We enter bib numbe in proper place and runners come through the end of the shoot. the third file is a times file, created by a timing software program that just records place and time, It has the ability to also record bib number. These seem to work ok, what I would like to also add in is: The ability to have access if...then statement to create age group category such as 19& under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34......... usually called 5 year age groups. or 19& under, 20-29, 30-39... usually called 10 year age groups. Once they are in, I would like the ability to run a report, Giving overall finish, and rank in age group. all from access
