A comprehensive marketing person that can drive all marketing intiatives to completion

Communication skills are an essential trait. In developing and presenting marketing plans, you will communicate with the CEO and Store Manager . To obtain product information for marketing programs, you need to communicate and ask questions and be curious as to why and how customers transact and what we can do to leverage our already good relationship we have with most all of our clients . You will/may also need to communicate with external specialists such as copywiriters and web content help., As Director of Marketing/Sales..you will need to have good analytical skills. You will be reviewing different types of research reports providing statistics on factors such as market size, product sales, market share, consumer demographics and competitive activity. You need to understand and interpret the data so that you can make informed decisions on marketing strategy. You need to understand the creative process to move the company to its goals ...short and long term. Part of your role is to brief creative staff such as designers and copywriters ( if you are not able to do those roles yourself) so that they can develop marketing material that communicates effectively with customers and prospects. You may or may not be developing the creative work yourself, but you must be able to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the creative work that others produce. Our Marketing programs require careful project management to deliver results on time. You must be able to identify the different stages of a marketing program, establish a realistic schedule and allocate a budget. When the program is underway, you will need to coordinate the work of different specialists and suppliers to ensure the program meets its targets.....and if necessary make course corrections if feedback warrants that. You must be a good team player and effectively be able to communicate the big picture and the granular steps necessary to make campaigns succesful. If schedules cannot be met during the creative process you need to communicate that to CEO and Store manager timely and give the new and updated timeline so we/the store can adjust our schedules to accommodate and flex with the changes necessary.
