I have a long-running travel writing and photography html website with a wordpress blog that needs a redesign with an emphasis on integration between these currently separate areas of the site. The site already has a good interface, I just need it tweaked and modernized with a CMS interface and more integration between the blog and the static site. Some graphic work will be needed. The site is [login to view URL] I’m looking for someone with expertise in the following and a portfolio with examples of similar work: • HTML, CSS, PHP, CMS • Wordpress theme coding, design and integration and • Extensive knowledge of existing Wordpress plugin • Customization of Wordpress plugins • Custom Wordpress coding ability • Graphic design for Web pages and blogs • SEO for Web design and Wordpress blogs Tasks include: • Integrate an existing Wordpress blog with an html site. • Create an advanced admin panel to control the site. • Preference of the CMS can be finalized during the discussion stage. • Automate photo uploading and gallery creation for photo gallery pages. • Create advanced hierarchical menus capable of being updated through a CMS and automatically pulling post titles from a Wordpress blog and an RSS feed. • Integrating best SEO practices into every page created. • Developing a plan to work around a large collection of legacy URLs that should not be changed for SEO purposes. • Creative thinking about how to best organize the site and what changes need to me made. If these skillsets match yours, please keep on reading to learn a bit more about the site, my thoughts and how I see the revised version flowing. While I have a very clear idea of how the site should look, I also don’t want someone who will just follow instructions.
