HI There, I wish I could work on this, as I have ready proto-type of Arduino Mega 256 based weather systems with Wind sensors, SHT humidity, BMP pressure, temperature sensor, serial MJPEG camera, 2/3G modem, SD card storage. We have been working with microcontrollers and microprocessors for many years now, most recently with both the Arduino and the Raspberry Pi. We have the capacity to deliver the hardware you require for the prototype and also as a fuly bespoke design if you wish to go that way in the future. I have read your specification and clearly you have put considerable effort in getting the project to this stage, obviously there are many details to be resolved but a few general questions if you dont mind. Is the weather station enclosure part of the brief? Are you committed to the nominated sensors or are they just available at the present? Is there any reason you have nominated the float type for some of the parameters? do the values have that large a dynamic range? How is it to be powered? The database and domain issues are straightforward As the equipment demands are reasonably small I'd suggest that once the basic hardware issues are resolved, that two prototypes exist, one in your custody and one in the developers. I made a home-automation system for myself. This can control the heating-water and air-conditioning and function as a burglar alarm system. You can control remotely, via mobile or web-browser. So I know the Raspbian (Debian Linux), Apache, PHP and Python technologies as well. I can recommend to use raspberry (I saw you mentioned in the .docx for future plan). I have some of queries with you, given clear specification document. even though I have, why you won't select RaspberryPI right now, instance of selecting in feature. because we can provide just like add-on card via SPI or USB as you like. also we will provide you as web service and API (c and python) as you told network UDP/TCP packet.
