Don't load DIV once it's clicked (PHP + Cookie)

I would like to achieve the following 1. There is a site written in PHP 2. Inside the site there is a DIV, inside the DIV there is some javascript showing an ad 3. Once the ad is clicked I need to set a cookie on the browser with a specified expiration date of 24 hours (easy to modify at any time) 4. If the user returns to the site before the cookie expires, PHP should not load the DIV with the ad (it can't be hidden, it simply can't be loaded) 5. The DIV should be normally loaded to all other users 6. Once the cookie expires, the DIV can be loaded normally until the next click happens, then it should be hidden again for 24h to the user That's all.
