Now the vanilla 89c51 does not have hardwired SPI so you have to do soft SPI, for weighing it good enough (fast enough) Code in C using SDCC (open source compiler ) or Keil/IAR tools Possible having the hardware will help, remote software dev. possible but may take more time

Hi, I can do this project for you. I have built digital scales in the past although they used the PIC12f675 microcontroller (my fav because of the internal oscillator and cheap cost).
