I learn english by phonetics. My parents tried to send to classes when I was a child, so boring and antinatural. Finally, my curiosity take me to live in another continent, new friendships and loves take out of my box. Thank to all these movies that I saw as a child in original version the sounds of the words remind, they weren't so estrange to me and definitely personal interaction and the necessity of be part of a new group of people did the rest. But after a while, improve my english and find a proper course to improve my no oficial/ standard way to learn the language make difficult my progress, read in a not native language become boring and very difficult to engage. Now half of my family speak spanish and half english, memories and dreams are in both languages and sometimes my native language is not enough to express my feelings and ideas. I am a child of a globalised world that believe that communication is a powerful tool. I found the duolir idea awesome. And I will like to participate!
