Feb 2009-Jan 2010 SOFTWARE ENGINEERING RESEARCH CENTER (SERC) FAST-NU Lahore (Pakistan) 1 year Internship Experience OpenBravo Loyalty Management System (Open Source Project in JAVA) • OpenBravo is an open source ERP and POS System. I have worked on a project named Open Bravo Loyalty Management System The purpose was to develop this system which would help keep tracking the customers and attract the customers towards the products and hence increase the overall sale of the organization. This particular module was developed in Java. ACADEMIC PROJECTS Multicore Processor Programming (FYP in C+++) • We worked on Multicore Processor Programming as an FYP. In this Project we used Intel’s Thread Building Block(TBB) Library using C++ on Linux. The purpose was to take advantage of Multicores by using them in an optimized manner. We also built a thumb recognition system application for multicores. Virtual Mouse (Computer Vision) • I have completed a project of moving cursor while sitting away from monitor instead of using mouse bit using finger movement. The project also included the functionality of opening folders and drawing in paints using different colors on finger. This project was developed in MATLAB. Online DVD Purchase System (Web Programming) • A website was developed for facilitating the user for purchasing DVD’s online. This systems was developed using PHP and MySql Flight Management System (Software for Mobile Devices) • Flight management system was developed on J2ME. This project included the features of adding flights, searching and certain other features. This project used different API’s to perform different tasks. E-Recruitment (Databases) • An online system was developed for Job seekers which helped them see the job opening at different companies and then online test was conducted on the system online and the result of test was sent to the Companies.
