Client : Duty Free Americas, US (September 2008 - December2008) Project : Retail Management System Position : Sr. Oracle Developer Technologies: Oracle 10g, PL/SQL, SQL Loader, TOAD, Windows XP, Unix Shell Scripting Project Summary : Duty Free Americas has retail stores in America, particularly in Boarder Areas and at International Airports. They have interconnected their stores and warehouses through retail management system. Retail Management System is used for invoicing, stock management at stores and warehouses, stock transfer from warehouse to different stores and from one location to another. It is also used to keep track of different orders, goods delivery etc. Responsibilities : • Creation of different interfaces between their existing applications using PL/SQL. • Created Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions, Views and Packages using PL/SQL. • Worked on performance and tuning of different SQL Queries and PL/SQL programs. • Developed PL/SQL Scripts to write data into flat files and then loaded data from flat files to custom tables through SQL Loader scripts. • Involved in Unit testing of all programs. • Developed Shell scripts for Scheduling and initiating other PL/SQL programs. Client : CIGNA Dental Insurance, US (April 2008 – August 2008) Project : Dental Insurance Position : Sr. Oracle Developer Technologies : Oracle 10g, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms & Reports., SQL Developer, Windows XP, Unix Shell Scripting Project Summary : Cigna Dental is one of the leading insurance companies in US. It provides dental and Health insurances to its customers. I worked on Dental Insurance project. Dental Insurance Software was used to keep record of their past and present customers, their opted insurance coverage, insurance premiums, claims, etc. Responsibilities : • Development of different Forms and Reports using Developer 2000. • Development of different Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions, Views and Packages using PL/SQL. • Performance tuning of SQL Queries and PL/SQL programs. • Involved in Unit testing of Forms, Reports and PL/SQL programs. • Developed Shell scripts for Scheduling and initiating other PL/SQL programs. Client : FedEx, Newyork, US (September 2007 to March 2008) Project : FedEx Trade Network Position : Sr. Oracle Developer Technologies : Oracle 10g, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms & Reports., TOAD, Unix Shell Scripting Project Summary : FedEx provides services like customs brokerage, international freight forwarding, export documentation, distribution, cargo insurance, and eCommerce and trade facilitation solutions. Trade Network application is used to manage day to day trade business and provide services to their customers. It also keeps track of payment made and due from business customers, tracking of goods etc. Responsibilities : • Development and modification of forms and reports using Forms and Reports 10g. • Created Complex Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions and packages using PL/SQL • Developed SQL Loader scripts to load data in the custom tables and perform ETL processes. • Analyzed queries using Explain Plan utility to obtain the execution process. Optimized the queries by modifying the data access methods, Index strategies, Join types and operations and providing hints. • Involved in Unit testing of forms and reports developed by other developers. • Developed Shell scripts for Scheduling and initiating other PLSQL programs. Client : Allstate Insurance, US (January 2007 – August 2007) Project : NextGen Release 2 Position : Sr. Oracle Developer Technologies: Oracle 10g, PL/SQL, SQL Loader, TOAD, Windows XP, Unix Shell Scripting Project Summary : Allstate is one of the largest insurance companies based in Illinois. Allstate provides different kinds of insurance services like Health insurance, Auto insurance, Property insurance etc. I developed scripts f or data migration of their software NextGen, from Release 1 to Release 2 and to clone seed data upto 20 million records. This data was used by the QA teams to test the application, and the DBA team to test the performance of servers. Developed Data Migration Validation Package for QA team. Also developed some reports using oracle reports required by QA team. Responsibilities : • Created scripts using SQL and PL/SQL to migrate data from Rel. 1 to Rel. 2. • Worked with control files for SQL loader to load flat data files into Oracle tables. • Created scripts using SQL and PL/SQL to generate bulk data for testing team to test the performance of the application and the same data was used by DBA team to test the server performance. Scripts were also written to migrate data from Release 1 database to Release 2 database. • Involved in performance tuning and query optimization. • Provided production support for existing applications. • Development of certain reports for QA team to validate their tests.
