I have a national Diploma, as well as Bachelor of Technology in Fashion Design. My course included Sewing, Pattern & Garment Technology, Textiles and Business Management. My specialty is Underwear, Swimwear, Shapewear & Activewear. But I am not limited to these categories. I use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to produce Technical Drawings, as well as creating new bespoke print artwork for your next collection. I have great technical knowledge of product and how products should fit on the body. I am able to provide detailed technical designs, and if required a tailored Tech Packs (with measurements), that is factory ready. I also have the know how to work with factories. Both local in South Africa, and abroad in China. I have traveled to China, and seen factories in full production, negotiating costs and ensuring that factories are compliant i.e. BSCI / Sedex Approved etc. I understand the importance of critical path management, and how imperative it is to meet deadlines to minimize costs. I have been in the retail industry since 2006. From Designer, to Merchandiser, to Buyer, to Direct & Indirect Supply General Management, and have worked with and for many major retailers in South Africa. And now I am running my own Design and Development Company, CatCav Creatives. I know and understand what it takes to design, develop, build & produce a range of products.
