My name is Gustavo Gonçalvez, I am a Senior Architect by the ETSA of Seville and the Faculty of Architecture of Montevideo, Uruguay. I have a professional experience of more than 20 years, teaching experience as Professor of History of Architecture and doctorate studies in Barcelona School of Architecture.
Member 61277/4 of the Association of Architects of Catalonia, Spain.
I currently work as a freelancer on various projects in Russia and Spain and in collaborations with other studios.
For four years I served as Project Leader at a major Moscow studio. Although our work focused on the design of residential complexes, we have developed a wide variety of projects (offices, hotels, university campuses, shopping centers, etc.) in different cities of Russia.
In this period I have led design teams that won four major competitions. Among them, the largest is a multifunctional complex in the Olympic village of Sochi, site of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Before that, I worked for eight years in the studio of the architect Jaume Frigola in Blanes, mostly in the construction of single-family homes and apartment buildings in different locations in the provinces of Gerona and Barcelona. There I was deeply involved in the whole process of building in a period of the strong construction activity in Spain.
I have doctoral studies in Architectural Projects carried out at the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Barcelona and for seven years I have been a professor of History of Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture in Montevideo, Uruguay.
