PROJECT DISTANCES I need a simple Wordpress website with a web app in home page. The web app is educational, it aims to show the great circle arc between two given points A and B. Great circle arc is the theoretical minimum distance between two points. The user must be able to write the points in free text (for instance "Rome" and "Minneapolis") and get the great circle arc shown in the map together with some information regarding the great circle arc such as the distance in Km and the coordinates of the two points. The app should allow the user to customise the graphical elements such as color and size of the arc, color and style of the background map and get immediate feedback from the map. When happy of the result, the user should be allowed to download the customised map. The app should be developed in Google Maps APIs with javascript code fully commented in English. The app should be embedded in a Wordpress ready-to-use website (you are requested to give me instructions on how to deploy it online). The app must be provided with all IP rights and source code, it must not infringe any third party IP rights and must not request me to pay software licenses. You are requested to support me in understanding how the software works so that I can maintain it and change it if necessary. This can be done with written documentation or skype calls (CET times). The app should not bring hidden cost. For instance, the Wordpress template must be free. The website must be responsive; it will be used with a large screen but it should work on a small screen too. Please refer to attached pdf for UI/UX design and an idea of the expected output.

I have some questions: I am assuming the download should be a static JPG or PNG? And not map embed code? Is the wordpress site a single page, or are you planning having additional pages? Also you are probably aware that Google uses Mercator projection. Google have a daily limit on their API of 1000 requests per day. This can be raised to 150 000 if you submit credit card details (they won't charge you, so I am not sure why they do this, probably just to identify you, knows) The arc drawn by Google Maps API does not always have the smooth edge you have shown in your PDF. It's pretty close though. I'd suggest a 3 stage approach to your project: 1) Wordpress design to your liking 2) Dummy layout of components and input boxes as well as user input validation and security measures (this is Wordpress after all) 3) Map coding to get the results you are after.
