We are looking to hire a skilled WordPress developer for the creation and management of a specialized feature on our website. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a user-friendly interface using Divi Builder that allows visitors to browse products and categories, and add items to a virtual cart for price comparison across various stores.
Key Features Required:
1) Product Management: A system to manage a catalog of over 10,000 products, including their prices at different retail locations.
2) Search and Browse Functionality: A dynamic and intuitive search function to find products, with the ability to filter and sort by categories.
3) Virtual Cart System: Users should be able to add products to a non-transactional cart (note: actual purchase functionality is not required on the site).
4) Price Comparison and Recommendation Engine: An algorithm that: Compares the total price of the cart at different stores. Can also recommend the store where the entire cart would be cheapest if purchased in one location. Optionally, shows the 'cheapest ever cart' by comparing if items were bought across multiple stores.
5) User Experience: Must be a high priority, ensuring the site is user-friendly and responsive across various devices and browsers.
6) Scalability: The system should be scalable and optimized for handling a large product database without compromising performance.
