Hi All, I am an experienced forensic accounting practitioner looking for a software development specialist to build new engagement management software for forensic accounting practitioners. Similar software has already been developed for other service offerings; however this would be an industry first for the forensic accounting space. I am looking for a talented software developer to create a prototype / minimal viable product that could be taken to market for initial testing. Subsequent to the development of the initial prototype there would be scope for further work as industry feedback is received. I have created a very basic layout of the software as to how I see it functioning (from a forensic accounting practitioner / user perspective) in Microsoft word. In summary, the prototype must allow the user to input pre-defined text and import numbers from excel and to generate a series of reports (in Microsoft word) based on those inputs. For example, the software steps the practitioner through various required inputs and analysis that go into a business valuation report capable of being used in a Court of law. The inputs are captured by the software and used to generate industry standard documents such as engagement letters, requests for further information, compliance statements and ultimately the final valuation report. The chosen developer will need to take instruction well as, given the specialised nature of the industry, the user experience is critical to the success of the product.
