Basically, I am trying to pull various data on each of about 16,000 individual Major League Baseball (MLB) players from a website. I don’t really care what specific program you use as long as I get the code for an open source software in the specified manner and also sample data (e.g., data on about 10 randomly chosen players). The MLB players data can be read from the 16422 player page hyper links provided ( A sample set of data will be retrieved and provided as per your requirement) The page data will be parsed and the individual data elements will be populated as per the specification provided. The parsed data to be reformatted to be filled in the 10 + 972 possible columns in a row. The http header will be added with the info you have provided. We can use php language to parse the urls and get the data. Approximate time to complete the project: 12 - 16 days.

We have scraped many directory websites including yellowpages, yelp and e-commerce websites including amazon, walmart etc and many more. We can deliver the data very quickly. We use proxies with IP rotation to avoid being detected as bots. We use python with wget, scrapy, urllib and other tools to fetch webpages and parsers like HtmlXPathSelector, regular expressions etc to extract information from the html.
