Hi I'm Ryan from Alberta Canada. Awesome sounding project. I use to be the R&D manager at a wireless audio company before starting up my own electronic design house. Check out my profile to see a couple wireless products i've worked on. I have experience laying very small, noise and power sensitive wireless boards including antenna trace impedance matching and tuning - of which you'll need for this project. The last wireless system I designed and layed out was on an 9mm by 24mm (0.35 x 0.9 inch) PCB including transceiver with integrated MCU, crystal, ESD protection, antenna, antenna tuning components, and a secondary MCU for power control. All done with only through hole vias to keep cost down. So getting your product small with not be an issue. A big question for this project is what will the BT module be connection to on the other side? If you will be sending data back and forth to an iPhone or iPad you will need have an authentication chip on the board. To get an authentication chip you need to be MFi certified with the Apple program, this is no problem. I can help you through the process if you are not already. I would suggest 0402 smt components as the smallest to use on a minimum of a 6 layer board. This will keep the manufacturer happy and will provide a full ground plane which is needed for proper wireless performance. Hi there, I already have gerber files for a project that contains one bluetooth module SPBT2632C2A, one microcontroller ATMEGA328p an a 16 Mbit flash memory (2 MBytes). Dimensions: 22.8 x 12.8 mm (!!) This project is a platform designed by me for different applications. It has one LED included on pcb (0402 capsule) an 8 general I/O ports. Also include a 3.3 voltage regulator. If you agree to use this ports to external connect your buzzer, motor, accelerometer and s.o., I'd like to made the firmare for you in a very short time.
