I have been doing Puppet since 2011, and written a lot of modules. I have written SSL certificate generators and all the other usual modules most people expect. Fluent with Hiera. I have built AWS userdata scripts to stand up puppetmasters, and other cloud integrations. I prefer working with the open source version of Puppet. My last big project was building puppet modules to install software on Windows Server, using Powershell with Puppet. This was for a hedge fund. Very bizarre but it works. I did not use Chocolatey, found it wasn't necessary. Most of my work has been in Linux environments.
