** Please read before replying! ** // THE PROBLEM I have a hosting account, in which I have several live and developing websites/wordpress installations. Some or perhaps all of the Wordpress websites in my hosting account have been infected by malware. When clicking on a link on the site, it opens up a new tab, with malware ads like [login to view URL] and onclkds.com. I don't have a lot of time or money to deal with this right now. I'm searching solutions via Sucuri, Wordfence, and a couple of freelancer websites, to see where I can find someone who can do this quickly and effectively, for a reasonable price. // SERVICES I'M LOOKING FOR 1. Fix all of my WordPress websites, and make sure my entire hosting account is clean & secure. (I have 2 active live sites and other developing wordpress installations) 2. Provide me with a report of how you went about fixing the problem, which files were infected and what was done to fix them, and what you suspect was the source of the hack in the first place. // PLEASE RESPOND WITH THE FOLLOWING INFO: 1. How much would you charge for the above-mentioned services, and how quickly can you get them done? 2. I have 2 active live sites. Hi, I have seen many click hijackers in WP recently. The good news is it's unlikely any files have been modified. The bad news is you're one of million+ affected by a recent REST API vulnerability. Relevant Skills and Experience I am a WordPress developer. I'm very familiar with WP core and exactly what caused this vulnerability and how it is fixed. The vulnerability is fixed in WP 4.7.2 but doesn't fix infected sites, the fix just prevents re-infection.

You're looking at $50 per WP install and 1-2 hours per site, depending on how large/complex it is. I can give you a best guess on how the sites were infected, but it's not possible to tell for sure. Relevant Skills and Experience I run a web hosting service and have extensive malware cleanup experience. Proposed Milestones $50 USD - Per Wordpress site cleaned. A report on what files were infected will slow me down considerably, and is a waste of time, frankly, so I will not provide one. I guarantee all my work.
