Hi, I have 4+ years of experience as a hardcore python developer. My recent projects have been into cross platform app development in python. Most of these apps have been developed using kivy (cross platform python GUI framework). Regarding your project I suggest the following. 1. A simple android app developed in kivy. This app will extract the desired text from your android phone. 2. Once we have the text extracted by the above app, we can easily develop a python script which will further extract the text from the above app. As both the app and script are developed in python, we wont be having any compatibility issues. The best part of this approach is that your script will extract the text even when your phone is not connected to your computer / laptop.
